Our world is often ruled by giant box stores with no heart, which is what makes this store a breath of fresh air.

You choose with your money.

I love thrifting. And for so many different reasons.

Yes of course the prices are great, but I also thrift to avoid feeding into the endless production that is filling up our communities with landfills. Add to that the fact that there is nothing greater than knowing that every purchase gives back to the community and international missions - that’s a good return on investment if you ask me.

All that to say I was so excited when I was asked to capture the grand opening of Burlington's Mission Thrift store. Hearing the stories from the executives, city councillors, MPs and volunteers who have been part of the store for decades proved to me just how amazing Mission Thrift is.

How wonderful it is tto know that your purchases make a difference at home and around the world. And if a store is run mostly from volunteers, you know it must be great!
