Sometimes growing up feels like goodbye.

I have boys. They wanted to chase frogs. They wanted to catch snakes. Writing about this amount of gross isn’t enough - I need to capture it.

My work doesn’t fit into any box labelled “bright and airy” or “dark and moody” or “vintage film.” I don’t fit into a perfectly curated aesthetic.

When I think about the moments I’ve captured that take up the most space in my heart, it’s not usually the special days. It’s the everyday ones.
